This is the best glocomanna I have found for this....others have failed to hold well enough. It will not make spaghetti but can make orecchiette, chicken and "slicks" and even Chinese pork dumplings with this dough....just mix, let sit 10 minutes (or longer in frighted), knead and roll out between 2 sheets of parchment paper. Cut and form as desired. Peel gently off parchment paper. I make orechiette shape by rolling into thin rope, cut into pieces size of garbanzo bean, then flatten with dip in the middle with my finger.
Simmer in gently bubbling salted water like pasta...cook until they float to the top, about 1 minute for thinner shapes and longer for thicker noodles.
RECIPE FOR ONE SERVING:
1½ T. oat fiber (do not use oat flour or oat bran) 1½ T. glucomannan powder 1 T. Einkorn Flour (can try with regular but the carb count will be higher) 3/4 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp. Kosher salt 6 Tbs tap water 1 large egg beatenThis review is specific to Glucomannan Pure Powder

The first times I just added a tsp and stirred it in cold, stirring every few minutes until it set up. However, the peanut spread turned out lumpy, as if I had filled it with little round beads. Now I boil the peanut butter with flavorings and Glucomanann. I stir constantly until it boils, then I take the pot off the burner. Sometimes bits of it do not disperse into the mixture, but I like those crunchy parts.This review is specific to Glucomannan Pure Powder

It doesn't clump too quickly or as much as other brands (even if you open the capsules, which most brands capsules will clump immediately and are almost unusable). It only takes a tiny amount to get the desired thickness (unlike other brands which you need a lot more of). It doesn't absorb moisture in the bottle and stays a perfect powder for months. I honestly can't say it curbs appetite, especially if swallowed in capsule form, but i guess since it thickens products it adds bulk which keeps you fuller longer.This review is specific to Glucomannan Pure Powder

It was something I'd gotten used to over time. Oat fiber, protein powders etc simply do not dry out the way wheat flour does when mixed with liquids and baked. I added glucomannan powder to my recipes and loved the result. The muffins had the exact same consistency of a muffin made with wheat flour. I was floored. A muffin that looks, tastes and feels like a muffin with almost zero net carbs. I can't wait to do some more baking experiments. WARNING it only takes a TINY amount. I put some in a salt shaker and keep beside my stove. I shake in a little (about 1/8 tsp) and see how that thickens. If necessary, I add a TINY bit more. When taken before your meals (not snacks) it helps you feel satisfied faster than food alone. It will not make you feel bloated or overly stuffed, either. On average, I have lost around 4 lbs. per week using this product and following a healthy eating lifestyle. This has been my motivation to keep going on the journey of weight loss! My cholesterol levels have been great too. Good luck to others who try this product, it is worth it!!!
